Planning & Zoning
There are some important things to keep in mind before submitting any Planning & Zoning applications.
Applicants are encouraged to work with staff prior to application submittal to ensure that the proposal is consistent with the General Plan, the Land Development Code, and will be an asset to the community. Contact Planning & Zoning staff to set up a pre-application meeting. This meeting can help give a better understanding of what application(s) may be needed for your project. There are cases when multiple applications and/or fees are necessary for only one project.
ZONING & LAND USE
Each zone within Logan City has different uses. It is important to know what zone your proposed project is in and what is and is not allowed in that zone. View the Zoning Map. View the Land Development Code.
HISTORIC DISTRICT BOUNDARIES & STANDARDS
The historic district in Logan City as its own set of rules. These rules have been established to preserve the historic value that has survived since Logan was established. View Historic District Boundaries. View Historic District Standards.
EXISTING PARCELS AND SUBDIVISIONS
It is important to be aware of the parcel your project lies on. The parcel may require subdividing in order to legally establish your project. A subdivision request must go through a separate review process with the Planning Commission.
