Business Licensing

ONLY COMPLETE BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

This includes completed and accurate information on applications, as well as, all additional documents and forms that may be needed.   • Permanent Business License: Commercial Level I & II, Secondary, Home

    Use this application for any of the following licenses.

  • Supplemental Alcohol License

    For any establishment that wishes to sell any alcoholic beverage, a supplemental business license is required.

    ALCOHOL POLICY: It has been and is the policy of the city to neither promote nor encourage the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages, but to license, tax, and regulated the sale or other distribution of alcoholic beverages and protect the public interest, including the rights of citizens who do not wish to be involved with alcoholic products.

     

    The city adopts the state of Utah Alcoholic Beverage Control Act (UABC), in its entirety, as amended from time to time and supplemented by ordinance. It is the responsibility of any applicant for an alcoholic beverage license, consent or permit, to be in compliance with identified conditions and requirements of state law and local ordinances prior to applying with the city for any license (including any license, consent or permit, as the specific licensing designation may be). It is the obligation of each applicant and licensee (including any consentee or permitee) to stay in compliance with state law and local ordinances regardless of changes to those laws and ordinances.

  • Temporary (Short-Term) Business License

    MOBILE FOOD VENDOR: Conducting business from a licensed and operable motor vehicle from which food or beverages are sold or offered for sale on a temporary basis.

     

    ITINERANT OR TRANSIENT MERCHANT: Any person who offers for sale, at wholesale or retail, any goods, wares, merchandise in or from any hotel, stall, tent, building, structure, stand, field, corner or other place in the city who shall not occupy the place for purpose of conducting a permanent business thereon or therein shall be deemed an itinerant or transient merchant.

     

    All temporary license applications are considered incomplete unless necessary background check is included at the time of submittal. You can obtain a background check through the Bureau of Criminal Identification office. The nearest BCI office is located at:

  • Solicitor's License

    Use this application for the following type of business.

    Person(s) engaged in door to door solicitation. All solicitor license applications are considered incomplete unless necessary background check is included at the time of submittal.   • Special Event License

    Use this application for an event matching the description below.

    Any short term event at a temporary location that is open to the public for a fee, where the public can participate as a spectator or a participant. Special events also include any event available to the public that requires the full or partial closure of the public right of way or the use of city property whether or not a fee is required. Some examples of special events include, but are not limited to: races, concerts, dances, exhibitions, lectures, parades, and other types of entertainment

  • Landlord License (Rental Dwelling)

    RENTAL DWELLING: A legally established dwelling unit available to be rented or leased for one month or longer.
