Some things to keep in mind before applying for a building permit:
TYPE OF PROJECT
The application and documents that you need to submit depend on the type of project you are working on. If you are unsure of what type of application to complete, feel free to contact the Building Department with any questions you have. If necessary, we are happy to schedule a pre-application meeting to get you off to the best start.
An accurate address and parcel number are required for all building permits. If the address on the application is not correct, the Building Department will contact you and your application will be put on hold until an accurate address is given.
Most projects require a contractor. If a contractor is required for your project, the contractor must be licensed in the state of Utah.
